ChiRunning® Workshops with Atul Arora

Our new workshops are starting in Brisbane from Sunday September 2nd and are reoccurring twice per month.

If you want to run injury free and improve running efficiency then you need to learn  ChiRunning. ChiRunning® combines the principles of Tai-Chi to the sport of running. It improves running bio-mechanics and ensures running injuries are minimised and efficiency is increased. Your certified ChiRunning instructor will guide you through many exercises and drills. It is designed to leave you with a clear sense of what the ChiRunning technique feels like in your body. In these workshop you will:

  • Develop knowledge to change your running experience forever.
  • Learn techniques and skills to improve your running dynamics.
  • Get first-hand experience of good running form with easy-to-do drills and exercises.
  • Receive individual feedback and specific expert advice.

We will not be doing lots of running (contrary to what you might imagine), so no matter what condition you are in, have no fear. We will spend time alternating between demonstrations, fun exercises and technique based drills. The nature of the day will be relaxed, full and inspiring.

ChiRunning® Services offered by Atul

1) ChiRunning® Essentials workshop:

The aim of this service is to develop sound foundations of ChiRunning philosophy, improves your current posture and running biomechanics. This will include:

  • Preliminary running assessment and gait analysis,
  • Introduction to ChiRunning principles and concepts,
  • Upper and lower body posture improvement,
  • Improve focus and relaxation,
  • Exercises and drills to embed ChiRunning,
  • Pre-run Body Looseners and Post-run Stretches.

Pre Requisite: None
Duration: approx. 5 hours
Fees: $159 per head (this includes cost for gait analysis)
Number of attendees: 6 (max)
Location: Brisbane Central
Date and Time: Sun 1st week every month @ 7am – 12pm

2) ChiRunning® Advance workshop:

The aim of this service is to teach you the skills to improve your running efficiency and speed. This service will include:

  • Improving efficiency and speed by improving cadence and lean,
  • Running on gradual and steep hills,
  • Effective breathing.

Prerequisite: ChiRunning Essentials
Duration: approx. 4 hours
Fees: $129 per head
Number of attendees: 6 (max)
Location: Brisbane Central
Date and Time: Sun 3rd week every month @ 7am – 11am.

3) ChiRunning® Event Coaching:

The aim of this service is to use ChiRunning methods to prepare you for running events ranging from 5km to Full Marathon. This service will include:

  • Discounted entry and confirmed attendance to Essentials and Advance ChiRunning workshops.
  • Additional sessions to fine tune your ChiRunning techniques.
  • Provide ChiRunning based event specific training plans and guidance.

Prerequisite: None
Duration: ChiRunning workshop duration plus 1 hour per week.
Fees: $199 (initial) + $79 per week (12 weeks commitment)
Number of attendees: 6 (max)
Location: As per ChiRunning workshops and weekly sessions (TBC).
Date and Time: As per ChiRunning workshops and weekly sessions (TBC).

  • A 5% discount will be available if you book both Essentials and Advanced workshops together.
  • Discount will also be available if you would like to reserve a whole workshop as a group.
